Crypto market data shows that the price of Ethereum as at 7:27 AM (GMT) on July 5 was $1,158.67, representing a 10.3 percent increase within the previous 24 hours, and a 3.1 percent decline in the past seven days.
The increase in price led to an increase in the market capitalization of ETH to 138.356 billion USD (15.32 percent of the aggregate crypto market cap), as it maintained the second position in the list of top cryptos by market cap. The lifetime high market cap of the altcoin is 569.58 billion USD.
Within the previous 24 hours, the price of ETH was between $1,050.50 and $1,166.99, while its trading volume was 14.891 billion USD which is 25.2 percent of the aggregate volume of all cryptos. Its price has been between $1,010.15 and $1,229.82 within the previous week.
Based on the price of ETH as at the time, it remains on the downside by about 76.1 percent from its highest price ever ($4,864.06) attained on Nov. 10, 2021.
The price of BTC at the time was $20,285.52, representing a 6 percent increase within 24 hours. At the same time, its market capitalization was 387.173 billion USD, representing 42.39 percent of the aggregate crypto market cap.
As for USDT, its value was $0.999419, representing a 0.3 percent decrease in the past 24 hours. At the same time, the market capitalization of USDT was 65.72 billion USD, representing 7.24 percent of the aggregate crypto market cap.
At press time, the aggregate cryptocurrency market capitalization is $955 billion, representing a 5.7 percent increase in the past 24 hours, according to CoinGecko data.
